Things to Do in Niagara Falls With Kids: Dinosaur Adventure Golf by exquisitEXPLORATIONS Travel Blog
Dinosaur Adventure Golf

Miniature Golf

The Clifton Hill area offers two options for putt-putt golf: Dinosaur Adventure Golf, an outdoor mini golf course overlooked by the SkyWheel, and Wizards' Golf, an indoor mini golf course that offers glow-in-the-dark golfing. My little dinosaur lover opted for Dino Golf and had a blast!

Boat Tour

From the New York side, hop on the iconic Maid of the Mist for an unforgettable ride into the foggy haze under the Falls. From the Ontario side, head to Niagara City Cruises to book your journey into the misty spray. Grab your free poncho and get ready to get wet!

Zipline Adventure

Get your thrills on as you soar down the Zipline to the Falls. At 220 feet in the air and 2200 feet long, you're sure to feel the adrenaline racing!
*This activity is available for kids seven years old and older.

Hike to the Falls

Both the New York side and the Ontario side offer a hike down to the Falls, where you'll feel the powerful roar in your chest and the spray of water on your face. Journey Behind the Falls leaves from the Table Rock Center in Ontario, and Cave of the Winds leaves from Goat Island, New York.

See the Falls from Way Above

Splurge on a helicopter tour or an airplane tour to see the Falls from way above!

Wax Museum

On the Ontario side, choose from Louis Tussaud's Waxworks on Victoria Avenue or Movieland Wax Museum on Clifton Hill to see all your favorite famous characters. Are you Team Marvel or Team DC? See them both at Movieland Wax Museum!
From the New York side, check out the Niagara Wax Museum of History.

Ferris Wheel

The Niagara SkyWheel offers fabulous views of the Falls and the surrounding city, as well as a nice, relaxing, peaceful ride. Take a break from all the walking and enjoy the view from 175 feet in the air!

Skylon Tower

For 360-degree views of the Falls and the city of Niagara Falls, Ontario, visit the observation deck of Skylon Tower.

Go Karts

In the Clifton Hill area, the Niagara Speedway is sure to give your family thrills as they circle to the top of the speedway and careen back down.
Leaving the hustle and bustle of Clifton Hill, you'll also find Niagara Go-Karts on Kinsmen Court.

Arcades

Your arcade game fanatics have a plethora of options! On the New York side, visit Vortex VR Arcade or the Great American Arcade. On the Ontario side, check out Great Canadian Midway, Strike Game Zone, or Fallsview Arcade.

Animal Encounters

On the U.S. side, check out Aquarium of Niagara to see penguins, sea lions, puffer fish, turtles, sea horses, jellyfish, and so much more. Stop by the touch tank to pet rays and sharks (Just beware: if your child is anything like mine, prying them away from the touch tank may prove to be a challenge!).
On the Canada side, visit Bird Kingdom on River Road to see a large selection of birds, plus amphibians, reptiles, and more. We found the staff here to be warm, friendly, and informative. And don't miss the Butterfly Conservatory to see over 2000 colorful butterflies.

Beautiful Outdoor Spaces

Take a stroll through the stunning Queen Victoria Park - the perfect place to take family photos, savor great views of the Falls, and enjoy a picnic lunch.
With nearly 100 acres to explore, the Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens is a great place for your littles to run out their wiggles and for you to marvel at the beautifully-manicured gardens.
When you leave the Aquarium of Niagara, take a hike along the Niagara Gorge Trail. Depending on the age and stamina of your kids, you can walk just a few minutes to the first lookout or do a 2.5-hour hike.
Whirlpool State Park in New York offers beautiful views, playgrounds, and picnic tables.

Other Clifton HIll Activities

Clifton Hill is packed with activities for kids of all ages. View Ripley's Believe it or Not!, go bowling at Strike Game Zone, and fight off ghosts and zombies at Ghost Blasters and Zombie Attack. Rainforest Cafe offers a rainforest-type experience while you dine, and you can satisfy your sweet tooth at the Fudge Factory.

A trip to Niagara Falls with kids is filled with excitement, adventure, and memorable moments for the whole family. From getting up close to the roaring Falls to exploring fun-filled attractions and beautiful natural landscapes, there's something for every age and interest. Whether it's the thrill of a boat ride into the mist, discovering wildlife, or simply soaking in the breathtaking views, Niagara Falls offers endless opportunities for family bonding. As you plan your visit, be ready for a trip packed with fun and experiences your kids will be talking about long after the journey ends!
