Just over 100 miles southwest of Shanghai lies the city of Hangzhou. A city of just under 9.5 million people, Hangzhou is relatively small compared to Shanghai's over 24 million. A 45-minute ride on the high speed train will easily take you from Shanghai to Hangzhou. Here's why you need to take the ride and explore this gorgeous city.
Shanghai has so very much to offer - not the least of which is its stunning skyline along the Huangpu River. It's also full of excellent shopping and restaurants, world-class museums, and gorgeous green spaces. If you've never considered Shanghai as one of your must-visit destinations, it's time to add it to your bucket list!
How to Pack Like a Pro
We recently had the pleasure of spending 10 days in China and 4 days in Seattle. We have grown to detest checking luggage and now bring only carry on luggage. This forces us to pack a minimal wardrobe, but we still enjoy dressing stylishly. Here's everything we packed for two weeks in Shanghai, Beijing, and Seattle.
China is quickly becoming one of my favorite countries to visit. Having just returned from my third trip to China, including our second time to Beijing, I am reminded of the stunning beauty Beijing has to offer - both natural and man-made. We hope this selection of photos motivates you to visit this beautiful city.
