Best Children's Christmas Books
Books are a huge deal in our house. My personal stash includes more books than I care to admit (i.e. more books than I can possibly read in my lifetime). And we have a great collection of children's books for Emmett. Each year after Christmas, when I take down the Christmas decorations, I also box up the Christmas books to be pulled out again the following year. And each year, I add more Christmas books to Emmett's collection. This list includes some of our favorites, as well as some we are gifting him this year.

We are big fans of the Bear books in our house, and Bear Stays Up for Christmas is a definite favorite Christmas book!
If you like singing to your kiddo(s), you need this book! With a cute take on "The Twelve Days of Christmas," A Pirate's Twelve Days of Christmas is sure to be a favorite with your little swashbuckling pirate.
I think the Olivia books are just the cutest, and I love Olivia and the Christmas Present!
The Toot and Puddle duo is one of my favorite children's book friendships. In Let it Snow by Holly Hobby, they cannot figure out what to give each other for Christmas. In the end, of course they each come up with the perfect gifts!
Emmett loves watching Curious George and reading the Curious George books, and Merry Christmas, Curious George does not disappoint!

If you and your kids are fans of the If You Give a Mouse a Cookie series, you will love If You Take a Mouse to the Movies!
This beautiful Mexican Christmas story teaches kids some Spanish words and includes a traditional Mexican Christmas carol at the end.
In Harvey Slumfenburger's Christmas Present by John Burningham, Santa has to utilize multiple forms of transportation to make sure Harvey receives his Christmas present.
We love 'Twas the Night Before Christmas so much that we have several versions of the story featuring various illustrations.
The How to Catch a... series is another favorite of ours, and How to Catch an Elf and How to Catch a Reindeer are just as cute!
If your little one loves Little Blue Truck like mine does, you definitely need Little Blue Truck's Christmas!
Emmett loves Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site, so this year he's getting Construction Site on Christmas Night and Construction Site: Merry and Bright by Sherri Duskey Rinker.
Another fun construction vehicle Christmas story is Where Do Diggers Celebrate Christmas?!
Choo Choo! Take your child on a train ride to the North Pole in Santa and the Goodnight Train by June Sobel.

I hope this list gives you some inspiration as you do your Christmas shopping! Whether you let your kid(s) open books on Christmas Eve or you do a Book-a-Day giftathon each day in December, or you do Twelve Days of Christmas Books gifting, books are always great gifts for your growing littles.
