Things to Do in Las Vegas With Kids
"Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Nevada"! The neon sign welcomes visitors from far and wide to a city that is best known for its casinos. But Vegas is so much more than casinos and buffet restaurants. Yes, it still has its seedier sides, but the city abounds with fun and exciting things for kids of all ages.

Read more to see what to do and where to go if you take your kids to Las Vegas.

On the Strip

Watch the Bellagio Fountain Shows; Things to Do in Las Vegas With Kids by exquisitEXPLORATIONS Travel Blog
Bellagio Fountains

1. Watch the dancing water at the Bellagio fountains.

Throughout the day, the Bellagio fountains put on a fabulous show, timed to music. The fountain shows start at 15-minute or 30-minute intervals, depending on the time of the day and whether it's a weekday or weekend. This may seem silly for a grown adult to admit, but this is one of my favorite things to do in Vegas. And the best part is that it's free!

Gondola Ride at the Venetian, Las Vegas

2. Take a gondola ride at the Venetian.

Though nothing perfectly captures the experience of the real thing - a gondola ride in Venice - your kids are sure to enjoy a gondola ride at the Venetian in Vegas.

3. See the wax figures at Madame Tussauds.

While you're at the Venetian, meet the wax figures at Madame Tussauds. With admission starting at $36.99, this is not the least expensive thing to do with your kids in Vegas, but if you have never been to a Madame Tussauds, it's worth a visit.

Hershey's Chocolate World

4. Explore Hershey's Chocolate World and M&M's World.

Your little chocolate lovers will enjoy the colorful displays and sweet treats at these two Vegas staples.

5. Get your gaming on at the Fun Dungeon.

Your small gamers will love testing their skills at the Fun Dungeon arcade at Excalibur.

6. Enjoy dinner and a show at Tournament of Kings.

After getting your video game fix, stay at Excalibur for the Tournament of Kings dinner show. The live-action show lasts 90 minutes and does involve some pyrotechnics and live animals, so be aware of your child's attention span, sensitivity to lights, and other needs.

7. Ride the roller coaster at New York-New York.

Your older kids can enjoy the thrill of the Big Apple Coaster at New York-New York.

8. Stay for the Big Apple Arcade.

Stick around after the roller coaster ride to let your kiddos test their skills at classic games like Skee-Ball and Air Hockey at the Big Apple Arcade.

9. Take a limo ride.

Ride down the Strip in style to see all the lights and people.

10. Watch a Cirque Du Soleil show.

KA, located at the MGM Grand, Beatles LOVE, located at the Mirage, and O, located at the Bellagio, are all great options for kids. The acrobatics and music are sure to amuse your littles.

Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens

11. See the floral and art displays at the Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens.

These impressive displays in this 14,000-square-foot space are another of my favorite things to see in Las Vegas, and, as with the fountains, admission is free!

12. Say "Hello" to the sharks.

Visit the Mandalay Bay Shark Reef Aquarium to see the sharks, rays, and other aquatic creatures.

13. Assemble with your Marvel heroes.

Head to Treasure Island to the Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. for this interactive and immersive experience that your Marvel fans are sure to love.

14. Ride the High Roller.

At the LINQ, you will find the High Roller, an observation Ferris wheel that lifts riders 550 feet into the air over the Vegas Strip. The whole circuit takes 30 minutes to complete.

15. Wander the LINQ Promenade.

After your ride on the High Roller, wander along the LINQ Promenade for some shopping and tasty treats.

Thrill Rides at the Stratosphere

16. Get your thrills at the Stratosphere.

You and your older kids can ride the thrill rides at the Stratosphere. With names like X-Scream and Insanity, you know they are sure to both scare and excite!

17. Visit the circus.

Your littles and bigger kids alike will enjoy the free circus show daily at Circus Circus.

18. Play games on the Midway.

Stick around Circus Circus to walk the Midway, playing games and riding rides, like bumper cars and the carousel.

19. See other shows.

Older kids may enjoy shows like The Blue Man Group at the Luxor, Jabbawockeez at MGM Grand, Mat Franco at the LINQ, and David Copperfield at the MGM Grand. You can also see which of their favorite singers is performing in Las Vegas while you are there, as there are always new shows to see!

20. See the Strip from the Eiffel Tower.

Paris Las Vegas' Eiffel Tower replica is half the size of the original in Paris, France. You and your kids can take in the sights of the Strip, including the Bellagio Fountains, from the 46th-floor observation deck.

21. Enjoy Fantastic Food

Your little foodies and picky eaters will all find something to munch on in Vegas. From Hash House a Go Go in the Linq to Gordon Ramsay's Pub and Grill in Caesar's Palace, your taste buds will be delighted.

Off the Strip

22. See Las Vegas history at the Neon Museum.

Located just north of the Strip on Las Vegas Blvd, you and your kids can revel in the beauty of all the vintage Vegas signs at this unique museum.

23. Explore the Children's Museum.

Like many large U.S. cities, Las Vegas hosts a lovely children's museum. Take your littles to the DISCOVERY Children's Museum for fun and educational interactive exhibits.

24. Wander through the Fremont Street Experience.

This pedestrian mall hosts shows, shopping, and even a zipline for you and your older kids!

25. See the Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon from above.

Via helicopter, you and your kids can fly over the Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon to take in breathtaking views and enjoy the thrill of the ride.

I hope this inspires you to take your kiddos to Vegas. With so much to do and see, at all price ranges, it's a great little weekend getaway.
And now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go buy plane tickets to go back to Vegas.
